Investor question 48 of 50 · Risk, scenarios & the plan
“What have you learned that changed the plan?”
Short answer: the investor is really asking do you learn from data? Answer in three steps: (1) name one insight from your numbers; (2) show what you changed; (3) show the result.
What they're really asking
Do you learn from data? Investors rarely care about the question on its own. They're testing whether you know your numbers cold, whether your assumptions are honest, and whether you can explain them simply.
How to answer, step by step
- Name one insight from your numbers.
- Show what you changed.
- Show the result.
